Right to Manage

Most landlords manage their properties very well. If yours doesn’t, you can manage it yourself, in co-operation with the other leaseholders. Legislation has been introduced to force the transfer of the landlord´s management functions to a special company set up by the residents – the Right to Manage Company.

The right was introduced, not just as a means of wresting control from bad landlords, but to also empower you, the leaseholder, who generally hold the majority of value in the property, to take responsibility for the management of the block in which you live. By exercising this right, you will be able to have a greater degree of control over the level of service charges set, be able to appoint your own managing agents, and select your own insurers.

The law provides for a number of simple criteria which enables your block to acquire the Right to Manage. Why not give Nightingale Chancellors an obligation-free call to see if your property qualifies for the Right to Manage?
